Gaming Art Spotlight: Rosalina and Luma

star

Welcome to the first post from our new series, Gaming Art Spotlight. Today’s feature: Stephanie’s Rosalina and Luma.

Hi there! I’m Stephanie Nava, a little artist who enjoys Nintendo things. This particular piece all started with a sketch in a sketchbook that gave me the motivation to paint Rosalina and Luma together in an embrace.

I transferred the concept to a square paper and experimented with it, although I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do. I loved how it came out and I’m thinking about doing a few more (Ness might next  on my list).

If any one has any suggestions, let me know in the comment section below!

You can follow Stephanie on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter to keep up with all of her video game (and not-video game) artwork. Stay tuned for more from Retro Dustbin’s Gaming Art Spotlight!

Growing up with just a Nintendo 64, Stephanie enjoyed playing her little game library. And although she isn’t an avid game collector, she still loves a chance to kick someone’s butt in Diddy Kong Racing.

She is also an artist.
